I can not recommend this house enough. We stayed for a week as a family group (5 children and 8 adults) It is spacious, homely and yet luxurious. The location is ideal- quiet but with lots to do within a 10- 30 minute drive. It is so well equipped, especially with books, toys and board games. The outside space is huge and perfect for little explorers. The host, Jo, is lovely and responds very quickly. We will definitely be returning.

We booked Ling House for a special family get together, with twelve of us meeting there to celebrate my mother's 90th Birthday. Jo was very helpful in advance, sharing information on bedrooms, other facilities and local eateries, beaches etc. We were all very comfortable at this beautiful period property, enjoying the very spaceous kitchen and reception rooms, the peace and tranquility of the location and all the luxurious touches Jo provides. All twelve of us could sit around the kitchen table, similarly the dining table, and in the evenings there were enough sofas etc for us to all sit comfortably around the log fire in the sitting room. The bedrooms are all lovely, and the bathrooms are gorgeous - with large walk in showers as well as the roll top baths. The kitchen is genuinely equipped for a large group and there was plenty of space to store all the food we brought - so none of the usual frustrations with self catering accomodation ! We loved wandering around the garden, watching pheasants and hares crossing the lawns, and generally relaxing in this beautiful House and its surroundings, Thanks Jo!!

We have just returned from a weekend stay at Ling House and it was absolutely amazing. The house itself is incredible, as is the location, but it's the finishing touches to the house and for guests that made it even more special. There were 7 adults, 2 children and a baby and there was more than enough space for us never to feel crowded, even when we were all in the cosy lounge in the evenings. We will hopefully visit again, it was perfect.
